Description
The Velux wind deflector made to comply to aerodynamic smoke ventilation requirements. Smoke extraction windows containing wind deflectors should be used if the requirements relate to aerodynamically active surfaces, which is often the case in industrial applications. The required size of the smoke and heat extraction ventilation area depends on the design of the building and its purpose.
KFD 0100 – benefits:
- For compliance to aerodynamic smoke ventilation requirements
- Suitable for GGL and GGU smoke ventilation windows
- The active area of the smoke-ventilation window almost doubled
- Operational reliability of the window including use for comfort ventilation
- Heat resistance to determine the resistance of the window to heat from fire
Available window sizes (cm):
- MK04 78×98
- MK06 78×118
- MK08 78×140
- PK06 94×118
- PK08 94×140
- SK06 114×118
- SK08 114×140

The smoke extraction system consists of:
The basic element of the system is the VELUX smoke ventilation window. The windows are available with standard NCS S 7500-N aluminium cladding and safety glass -70.
On special request, the windows are available with copper or zinc titanium cladding, and energy-saving two-chamber glass -66.
Important note:
In the case of installation of smoke ventilation windows in a combi set with a deflector, the distance between the windows have to be:
– horizontal – 20 cm
– vertical – 25 cm
